Zane did it again this year... This is the third year in a row that he has wanted to wear his superman costume. He picks out one costume, we buy it and then the day before Halloween he asks to wear Superman again. It's amazing he still fits it! Of course the first year he wore it I made some major temporary size adjustments to it. I'm glad I didn't cut the legs off completely that year! Its had much love over the years. I don't let the kids play in their costumes all year. I have grand illusions of having a bucket full of pristine Halloween costumes that we can just pull out when we need them... but NOT FOR PLAYTIME! LOL... I suppose making him wait all year to wear Superman again makes him REALLY need it at Halloween time. Heh heh heh, my evil plan is working! :) Zane's real costume this year is Iron Man. He'll wear it tonight.
Cannon of course wants to be like his brother, so he loves wearing Zane's old costumes. Zane's Wolverine costume from last year is still awesome. Although we had a mishap in the laundry this week. Part of a seam was opened on the neckline and half his peck muscle stuffing came out in the wash. It took me a few minutes to figure out what all the white fluff was from when I was switching the laundry. It's all ok now... his pecks are a little deformed, but still awesome.
I love hand me down costumes. I love costumes in general, but when they are free they are super awesome!(Especially when I only let the kids wear them once a year there is no way I want to spend that much money!) I know I'm crazy. You'd think the more I spent on it the more I should let the kids should enjoy it and get lots of use out of it... But then it wouldn't be in tact for the next Halloween. So that's what I save it for. Ila's costume was given to us by Grandma Weikum's co-worker. She was pretty cute! And very warm! That's not the very best picture of her face, but at least you can see the cute pink lamb legs!

So cute! We too have been know to wear a costume over and over again. In fact, The Little Man is going to be sporting his pirate costume for the second year in a row. It's all good!
