Everyone knows I love to talk about myself and my family... so what better way than to Blog! That way you can tune me out or not - and I won't even notice!
The kids (and I) are so excited for Halloween. I've always enjoyed the idea of dressing up in a crazy outfit - attracting more attention to myself and giving me an excuse to be totally crazy. But with the combination of that and also getting lots of candy... how can I pass that up? Now that I get to dress up my kids, I am even more excited.
Doug and I are going as Legolas and Arwen. My hair has recived two coats of dark brown hair coloring (I missed a few chunks the first time). Doug is enjoying a fluffy golden blonde wig and a costume that makes him look a foot taller than he normally is. Zane is going as Superman - and wanted black hair to match. He looks amazing. Kyah is Sleeping Beauty. She has fancy dress up shoes that she loves to walk around the house in, but are too uncomfortable to wear trick or treating. Oh... the sacrifices for fashion!
The kids are loving school. Kyah is upset when she doesn't get to go because of a vacation day or because its the weekend. Zane goes to preschool 3 times a week and has a great time too.
When the kids aren't in school and we aren't running around, we always have a group of friends over here. I'm sure we are being used for our trampoline, but the kids have a great time and Kyah and Zane are learning how to share their toys and their time! There are so many kids in our neighborhood there is never a lack of friends to play with!
