My sister, Becky, delivered her third baby boy this week. They named him Carter Duane. He looks like his brothers. Check out the details on Becky's blog.
It is strange to think we have another baby in the family. Its such a special occasion, but it has seemed to sneak up on us. I guess that is how it goes when its during the Holiday Season.
I was watching my girls shoot around at half time during our game tonight and I thought "Oh yeah, Becky had a baby and she is home from the hospital now." Even though I visited her at the hospital twice and have been able to hold Carter it was like I forgot he was really here now. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone. But it was surreal.
Kyah and Zane both loved holding him at the hospital. They haven't been around many newborns, but they seemed like naturals. Kyah was infatuated of course. Zane played it cool. He wanted to hold Carter first, but once he started holding him he started watching TV. Not so much that he wasn't interested in looking at Carter, but that he was just comfortable with him in his arms... like a grown up man watching a football game with an infnat asleep in their arms. It was pretty cute.
The countdown continues for Allie's baby! His ETA is sometime in the next 20-30 days!
