I truly believe that our reality is formed by our outlook on life rather than our situation in life.
I was reminded of this today when I read a note from a long lost friend on Facebook. She told me congrats on having a fairytale life. I wouldn't exactly categorize my life as a fairytale. I spend too much of my time dwelling on the crap in life rather than on the good stuff. But her comment did make me sit and think about how grateful I am for what I have.
And as a side note... maybe my blog is a little deceiving!

Who was the long lost friend?
That's what blogs are for. Deception and lies! :) No just kidding. I like your first sentence. It's so poetic. I could frame it. I miss you. I loved all of your moments from the previous post. I even had tears about the hail one with your mom. I can just picture her so happy showing the kids. Of course, the snart is just too dang funny. Most of the pictures I have of the boys they have dirty faces. When I pick-up Lucas after school he always have jelly on his face. Both cheeks. So everyday he has a dirty face from 11:30 til 2:45. I just shake my head. I can't believe Kyah raiding the candy bowl at 2:30 in the morning. FUNNY. That is like Lucas getting up at 5:30-6 and raiding the snack cupboard. He'll tell me that he's not hungry for breakfast when I wake-up at 7. I soon discover the marshmellow bag is gone. kids...
That picture of Dad and Kyah is very good. Kyah is beautiful and Dad is looking good. I love it.
Love you guys. Tell Doug thanks for the comment on my blog. Still haven't hired the illegal. Trying to justify spending the money. The problem is the bathrooms are really beginning to smell:) hehe.
peace out!
oh, yeah. i checked out your friends blog. hilarious. i will never eat peanut butter the same. i'm thankful there are no crotches in the jar. that for sure is something to be thankful for. hehe.
I think it's fabulous that you 'portray' your life as a fairy tale. Because that is what we all want. It shows you dwell and highlight the good stuff rather than that bad (and we all know bad happens :-) I love reading all about your family and all that you are up to!
