We had our first basketball game last night. I was awfully stressed about being ready... all the administrative stuff like finding a scorekeeper, who I was going to put in the game, and how the girls were going to play. I've seen my girls scrimmage against each other and against the sophomores, but I have never seen them up against any other freshman team. I didn't know what to expect and I think my expectations for my girls were pretty high.
The girls came out looking great, while the other team was very inexperienced. We definitely had things to work on... like not fouling, getting offensive rebounds, and running an offensive plays besides just a fast break! But they did great.
FINAL SCORE: Richland 61, Kennewick 9
Nope, that is not a typo.
