Cheese Balls

Last year I was lucky enough to be part of a recipe exchange group. One of the ladies made an amazing cheese ball... cream cheese, pineapple, green peppers and onions. It is fantastic. I made it tonight to get ready for Thanksgiving. I am thankful for it! I've never been a cheese ball person myself, but I've been converted to this one.

Our home teachers came over tonight. I have to admit that in some months I think "Why do they need to come over?" They always have a nice message, and they are friendly, but wrangling the kids to listen to them, keeping the dogs away from them... its all extra work sometimes! I'm sure they have thought the same thing about visiting us before. I know that is the wrong attitude. But I digress... tonight they came over and I really enjoyed their visit. They read a snippet from the D&C about following the Lord's commandments and listening to the prophets and if we do, we will be immovable. I loved it. I don't know why it struck such a cord with me, but it was awesome. I am thankful for great home teachers. I know they are both very busy with their own families, jobs, businesses and church callings, but the message they brought was very helpful for me.

I am thankful that we are all getting over our colds. It seems like they have been traveling through our house, to all of our extended family and back again for the last 3 weeks. I am hoping this is the last round! We have much to do to get ready for Thanksgiving and nursing a cold is not on my list!
