Feeling Thankful

Today I am starting the first entry of my “I am Grateful” series. I will try each day to write 3 things I am grateful for. (Thanks Katie for the idea!) Just in time for Thanksgiving and to help heal my heart!

Let me start out by telling you what the kids said. Kyah is thankful for Christmas, Halloween and her Princess Belle Dress. Zane is thankful for Christmas, Halloween and the park. Sounds good to me!
Doug said, “You know what I am thankful for?” Kyah quickly responded “Us?!” How do you say no to that?
Of course, the first day of this the easiest, but that doesn’t make it any less sincere!
I am thankful for:

  1. A wonderful husband that loves me all the time. He never stops hugging and kissing me even when I think I’m too busy for it. He is there whenever I need him even when I am too proud to admit it. He has an amazing amount of patience for me and is ready to take over whenever I need a break. He is my best friend. How grateful I am for his support and how thankful I am that he is my eternal companion! I love you!
  2. Three busy kids that remind me every day the importance of laughing and playing. Some days I wish I had more time with them and some days I wish I had less! But it’s a great blessing to have so much love from them in our home. There is nothing better than giggles and hugs from my kids.
  3. My sisters and sister-in-laws. I am so impressed with your love and patience for your own kids and how much you love mine! I learn so much from each of you and I am secretly jealous of your talents that I lack! When I meet people and they ask if I am related to any of you, I proudly say “YES! She is my sister/sister in law!” You ladies are my best girlfriends. I am so grateful to have you in my life!

I was also thinking about how hard it was going to be as we go on...but then I thought maybe once we get those thankful juices flowing it won't be as hard as we think. I found myself thinking of things I was thankful for more than one time today. It's working :)

I LOVE IT!! It's interesting how difficult it is to come up with original things every day. But it has been worth it!!

Oh my gosh...you are not supposed to start saying this kind of stuff to a pregnant hormonal woman! haha
