Prayers of Thanksgiving

I just had to share a cute story about Kyah's prayer last night. It was her turn to pray before dinner. She did a great job thanking the Lord for the many blessings we have been given. And then she said "Please bless that it won't be too crazy at Thanksgiving!" To her credit, that has been the talk of the house lately... what do we eat, who is making what, how many people will be here and where will we sit everybody? I had to open my eyes to watch everybody's reactions. We were all smiling to ourselves. The kids still had their arms folded and heads bowed. Then she said "And please bless that Zane will calm down before Christmas." All of us adults were a little irreverant at that point. I don't think Kyah was even joking, but we were all silently laughing. I could barely hold it in. Afterwards Doug told her how nice it was that she prayed for her brother. And Zane says "I like to pray for Kyah too!" It was too fun.
