We are watching Rat Race. It is one of our favorite movies. Hilarious!
- This is cheating because it's the holiday today, but I am thankful for the people that serve in our armed forces. Any war story involving honor, loyalty or sacrifice brings Doug to tears, although he might not want to admit it! I too am truly grateful for our veterans, for all the people that have given and sacrificed so much to help us keep our freedoms and to help others in the world have the same freedoms. I am grateful to all the spouses that allow their husbands and wives serve because I know they sacrifice so much as well. I give my sincere thanks to them.
- Laughter. Where would we be without laughter? It is the cure all. It comes in millions of different shapes and sizes. It can be contagious, annoying or downright enjoyable. It can turn your mood around in a heartbeat. As Uncle Albert says "I Love To Laugh!"
- A good dog. We love Atticus. She has a few faults (as most dogs do), which include shedding, barking at the neighbors when they mow their lawns, eating diapers... well, I better not recite all her faults because I might not be thankful for her anymore! She is great. Petting her relieves stress. She is a great tool for cleaning up after the kids eat dinner and she helps keep the floor clean. She is usually very calm unless its playtime and I can get her to come back inside the house when the kids let her out on accident. Hooray for a good dog!
Doug is grateful for funny movies, hot dogs and dollar menus.

I love reading what Doug is thankful for...I'm pretty sure Hot Dogs are not often on people's thankful list :) LOL
A. I LOVE Rat Race. I am in a race, I am winning (imagine being said with a horribly fake Italian accent.
B. I watched Band of Brothers recently and cried for almost the whole 10 hours - I'll admit it even if Doug can't.
Surely you mean "keep the floor clean" as in no chunks of food on the floor and not actually keeping the floor "clean"!! At least Mom would agree with me on this one!! :)
It's funny, but when I read Doug's things that he is grateful for, I immediately picture him saying them and the connotations that he adds with them! ha ha
