I am not due to write until tomorrow, but I have the time now. I'm the one making the rules so I can break them... right? :)
Today I am thankful for:
- Voting Rights. We've felt the anticipation and stress over some of the candidates and issues that were being decided upon in the polls last week. But even with all the drama, I am grateful that we live in a country that gives us the right to vote and the freedom to vote how we want! (even if it doesn't go our way!)
- This goes along with #1, but I am grateful that Prop 8 passed in California. Yes, I know I don't even live there, but its a subject close to my heart. Its great to see that the majority of voters in California stood up for something moral!
- The beautiful colors of the autumn trees! I never thought I'd say this, but the Shelter Belt looks so pretty right now! The mix of red, gold and brown leaves next to the Evergreens is really breathtaking. There are also a few gold trees in the gully of the Yakima river, just North of the bridge on I-182. They are gorgeous out there. If you are in the area, drive by soon because the leaves are falling fast! For some reason the colors really put a smile on my face this year.
