Popcorn is a good snack

Kyah is thankful for Jesus, for the church and her little brothers.

I am thankful for microwave popcorn. What a great, quick and easy treat with no mess... until the kids spill the kernels all over the floor. It is a quick appeaser for the snackies.

I am thankful for the speech therapy Zane is receiving at school. He is very responsive in class and is slowly remembering to use the correct sounds in his everyday language. I am thankful that he is able to make all the sounds... and that he just needs to remember to use them! I am very happy we have him doing this now and that we didn't wait longer until he was in Kindergarten. At the rate he is going he will be out of speech by the time he starts elementary school. And we will all be able to understand him and I won't need to translate for others! Hallelujah! Thank goodness for this program and for the patience by his teacher! Mrs. Barber is awesome!

I am thankful that Cannon is so good when it comes to going to bed! All we do is give him a bottle, stick him in bed and he stays! Only recently did he realize he could crawl out of his crib. It took a bit of persuasion to get him to stay in there and nap after that, but still not so bad. We took the crib down to return to my sister Becky before Cannon broke it by climbing on it. Now Cannon is sharing a bed with Zane and so far so good! I am amazed at how he stays in bed! Today I said it was time to take a nap and he ran into the room, laid down and snuggled in before I even got in there to help him! I am amazed and thankful! (Now we just have to work on getting rid of the bottle... but that is a battle for another day). I am also thankful that the bed is so low to the ground. Last night Cannon rolled out of bed and landed on the floor. He was fine, but he wasn't too happy about it.

You can always try the "bottle fairy" - a lesser known relative of the tooth fairy who comes to all children who are ready, takes their no-longer-to-be-used bottles from under their pillow and leaves a gift. My niece-in-law is acquainted with the binkie fairy - I'm sure she'd put in a good word for you!
