How many days?

So far it hasn't been difficult finding things I am thankful for. Some seem more sincere than others... some are more materialistic than others, but I am honestly thankful for all of them.

Tonight:

I am thankful for an arid climate. I like snow (occasionally), but its nice to not have it yet. When we start having ice storms around here I'll wish for Utah's winter again, but for now I am enjoying the clear roads.

I am thankful for a healthy body. Although its not as healthy and strong as it would be if I took better care of it, I have been blessed with a healthy body that allows me to work, play and relax when I want to. Even with the lack of exercise in my life, I was still able to outrace one of the 13 yr old girls on my volleyball team. She said I cheated... but I was proud that I still beat her! I am grateful that my body has worked well all these years. I am blessed to be able to do nearly anything I have wanted to do physically.

I am thankful for alone time with Doug. Its fun to be with family, friends and with the kids, but every once in a while I crave the alone time just with my hubby. We sound like an old couple, but we've started taking walks around the neighborhood in the evening. (Again, I am thankful it hasn't snowed!) It's usually only a half hour, but I treasure the 30 minutes alone with him. What a great time to recap the day, let off our worries and enjoy each others company without any other distraction.
